Yesterday Porsche presented the new 911 Carrera to the world at the Frankfurt Motorshow. The 911 is a legend in the automotive world and the brand Porsche an iconic one. I thought it time to honour the brand in the only way we can. With images. A Porsche logo is pictured on a bonnet of a car in the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart July 22, 2009. Talks to strike a deal between Porsche SE and Volkswagen heated up as the companies' rivalling factions raced toward an expected showdown on Thursday, people familiar with the matter said. At stake in the power struggle is who will control the carmaking powerhouse set to emerge from from any deal, an issue that has split the extended clan that owns Porsche. A worker selects the Porsche bonnet logo for a Panamera car at the final production unit at the Porsche plant in Leipzig, September 29, 2009. Around 600 Porsche employees work on the latest Panamera and Cayenne models in this plant that was built in 2002. Germany's Wolfgang Pfeiffer and co-driver Peter Knoebel jump over a hole as they drive a Porsche 911 on a rough road in Kenya's Ulu region December 17, 2003 after eight days of the East African Safari Rally. 53 vintage cars from 16 nations, all built before the seventies are participating in the 50th anniversary of the rally. |

It is my JFK moment. I know exactly where I was when I first heard the news that a (small) plane had crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City. That small plane quickly turned into a passenger jet. Quickly followed by another one. The world stopped turning and looked on in amazement. This was no longer a tragic accident, but a well thought out attack on the United States. When reports came in that a thrid plane had crashed into the Pentagon and a fourth plane had crashed into fields in Pennsylvania it became clear this attack had taken months if not years of planning. The question was by whom. The answer to this question depended on who was speaking at the time. Iraq, Afghanistan, the Taliban, the PLO, Libya, all rolled over tongues of people who we thought had the knowledge. We now know that it was Osama Bin Laden and his Al Qaeada terrorist group. The 9/11 attacks were directly responsible for nearly 3,000 deaths and indirectly for hundreds of thousands more through two wars against terrorism (Iraq and Afghanistan) and through different illnesses such as cancer and depression which hit rescue workers and people who helped with the clean up at Ground Zero. The 9/11 attacks changed the world we live in, a change we still feel today when we board a plane, attend a large sporting or musical event and even when we open a newspaper or turn on the TV news. May it never happen again. U.S. President George W. I’m a French photographer of 24 years old. I began 4 years ago, thanks to a friend, with the old Canon EOS 300 of my mother. After several films shot, I bought my first digital camera. So now, I have a Canon EOS 50D with different lenses and flash to transform a moment into photography, and this picture into a memory. What I really like in photography is the constant evolution my eyes have. The different and unique view of “classic” (or not) scenery you can have, how will you take it with your camera. This feeling is constantly evolving since I have been beginning photography. For me photography is a passion, this passion drives my eye and my camera to catch specific moment of life. |

After the Shades Of Blue it’s time for some lovely Shades Of Yellow to bring some sunshine into your day. Daffodils are seen in bloom in front of the London Eye April 6, 2006. The average temperature of only 4.6 degrees celcius (40.28 degrees Fahrenheit) in England and Wales for March 2006 has been the coldest for ten years, which had delayed the arrival of daffodils by keeping the ground temperatures low. The 2005 average temperature for March was 6.8 degrees celcius (44.24 degrees Fahrenheit). People are seen through a window as they walk during heavy rain along St. Marks Street in New York July 5, 2006. A Toco Toucan, also known as the Ramphastos toco, rests in the bird enclosure of the Faunia animal theme park in Madrid April 27, 2005. Toucans, which live between 10-15 years, live in the wild in the tropical rainforests from the Guianas through Brazil to northern Argentina and are fruit eaters. |

Riots broke out in the North London borough of Tottenham this weekend after a man, Mark Duggan, was shot dead by armed police in an altercation. Protesters marched on the local police station to demand justice before throwing stones and petrol bombs at police and buildings. Last night the rioting spread to other boroughs in London in what the police call copy cat behaviour. We’ve added more images to this gallery. I think we can safely say this is not about the shooting of Mark Duggan anymore, but all about stealing TVs, shoes, clothing and anything else these criminals can get their hands on. Smoke from a fire rises above houses and police officers in Tottenham, north London August 7, 2011. Crowds attacked riot police and set two squad cars alight in north London on Saturday following a protest at the fatal shooting of a man by armed officers earlier in the week. A poster for a betting shop is surrounded by shattered glass after a night of rioting in Tottenham, north London, August 7, 2011. Rioters throwing petrol bombs battled police in a economically deprived district of London overnight, setting patrol cars, buildings and a double-decker bus on fire in some of the worst disorder seen in the capital for recent years. Police officers detain a man in Enfield, north London August 7, 2011. Police said they were called to Enfield, a few miles north of Tottenham, where youths had smashed two shop windows and damaged a police car. |

Some people are all about sunrise and the daytime, me myself, I’m a nightime kind of person. Lanterns are released during a ceremony to commemorate the first anniversary of the Indian Ocean tsunami on Pak Meng beach, Thailand December 26, 2005. Thousands of locals and foreigners gathered in southern Thailand to commemorate the December 26, 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, which killed 5,395 people and wiped out 47 villages along the country's Andaman Sea coastline. A young boy swings on an old tyre in a local park as the sun sets behind the city skyline in Sydney May 12, 2003. Southerly winds continue to bring clouds and colder conditions to the city, a constant reminder that the cold winter months for the southern hemisphere city are moving ever closer. Lanterns are hung along a street during the lunar new year season in Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia, February 21, 2007. |
